Beaudin
Ganze Consulting Engineers, Inc., (BGCE) provides building commissioning
services
to a variety of clients. Whether it is a healthcare facility with critical
life-safety systems, a school that must perform at an extremely energy-efficient
levels for years to come, facilities seeking LEED™ certification, or
whatever the project, BGCE has the skills and experience that are imperative
to a successful commissioning project.
Commissioning requires a whole-building approach, in other words a cross-disciplinary
approach. Most BGCE engineers are degreed Architectural Engineers, meaning
they have been cross-trained in the various disciplines that contribute to
a built environment. Furthermore, many have hands-on construction experience,
which gives them invaluable understanding of field conditions and processes
around which a successful commissioning plan must be built.
BGCE
Engineers are knowledgeable in the various codes and guidelines on which
commissioning is based, as well as the documentation recommendations of Portland
Energy Conservation, Inc. (PECI). The best commissioning plan in the world will
not produce the desired results without an effective Commissioning Authority.
BGCE Engineers are well respected for their project management skills, including
pro-active planning, comprehensive coordination, effective documentation, and
focused quality assurance efforts. Building Commissioning is an important process
to ensure that a building functions as it should in terms of system performance
and life cycle durability.
