At Issue
SEAKR Engineering, which designs and manufactures spacecraft solid state memory systems, asked BGCE, Inc., to design a high-tech facility, including, offices, support spaces, design, testing, manufacturing, and secure (SCIF) areas.
BGCE's Work
BGCE designed energy efficient HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, power, lighting and communication systems for the facility. Beyond the normal building systems this facility required the following:
- Special lighting
- Power conditioning
- Power monitoring
- Special (SCIF) communications
- High efficiency clean room filtering
- Humidity control
- Positive and negative air relationships in critical areas
- Manbars and white noise generators for SCIF's
- Compressed air, gas, and nitrogen systems
- Direct digital control system (DDC) was installed to provide close monitoring and control of the facility
