The
New Sheridan Hotel is on the National Register of Historic Trust
Hotels. The original, wooden, two-story Sheridan Hotel was built in
1891-1892, and burned down in 1893. The New Sheridan Hotel, built of
brick, was built in 1895 on the adjacent lot, and a third floor was
added in 1899. An addition, including a new restaurant, kitchen, bar,
and lounge, was designed to very closely resemble the original hotel
and to blend with the New Sheridan Hotel, and was built on the site of
the original Sheridan Hotel. BGCE designed the 1995 system upgrades and
additions for the restaurant, reception, and kitchen areas on the first
floor.
