BGCE provided mechanical and plumbing engineering and construction administration services for this multi-family residential ski-in, ski-out facility that includes residential condominiums and a below-grade parking garage. Common areas include a small lobby, a ski and boot storage facility, and real estate offices.
The facility was designed with a four-pipe heating and cooling system with a centralized cooling tower, chiller, and boilers. Based on the location of this project, BGCE anticipated a high degree of days in which pre-cooling would be available with the cooling tower in lieu of using a chiller, promoting energy savings. Proper care was also taken to integrate the mechanical systems into appropriate architecture for screening high-end noise concerns.
