At Issue
Commerce City's new Civic and Justice Center is a major part of the City's transformation of the Rocky Mountain Arsenal into a new urban, civic and recreation area. The new facility utilizes significant sustainable features in its design: the majority of the space will include access floor and under floor air distribution to enhance energy efficiency, occupant comfort, and indoor air quality; waterless urinals and ultra-flow plumbing fixtures will be implemented for water conservation; and daylighting will be utilitzed with window glazing, exterior sun shades, and interior light louvers in the uppr daylighting windows, as well as, occupancy sensors, energy-efficient light fixtures, and dimmable ballasts.
