At Issue
The
Ritz Carlton Kapalua presented a complex set of guidelines, as well as
construction limitations, based on the phasing and completion of the
remodel project. The goals and expectations as dictated by the
Owner/Developer as well as the project location drove the decision
making to have the project completed with minimal impact to their
already stringent guidelines and schedule.

BGCE's Work
- Work
within the existing structure and MEP systems to fully renovate the
conversion of east wing hotel rooms to condominium units.
- In addition to the conversion, the west wing of the hotel was being
renovated to upgrade all of the aesthetic and interior pieces which
required compliance review.
- Renovation and expansion of the hotel’s existing restaurants and
spa. This included an expanded spa and extensive upgrade to each of the
restaurants.
- In completing this work under a very aggressive schedule, BGCE
worked diligently to make sure the new design complied with materials
that were readily available on the island and would not adversely
impact the schedule. While not totally unavoidable, this work was
streamlined with our efforts in making sure
