At Issue
Aging, failing HVAC system

BGCE's Work
BGCE
provided mechanical and electrical bid documents for replacement of
the HVAC system at the 50,000 square foot psychiatric hospital in
Evanston, Wyoming. BGCE retained architectural and structural
design consultants to provide comprehensive bid documents and
construction administration for this HVAC replacement project.
BGCE also
retained cost estimating and code review services during the design
process while performing the duties of a prime consultant. Specific
systems installation consisted of the complete demolition and
replacement of air side systems, hydronic heating plant, emergency power
systems, and the addition of a new chiller plant to provide air
conditioning. Other prime consultant duties included reviewing all
contractor pay requests, processing RFIs, issuing ASIs, and other
standard construction contract administration tasks.

Client Benefits
BGCE provided single point of
responsibility and contracting –the architect, structural engineer,
code review. All worked was complete under BGCE’s prime contract
