 Public
facilities by their very nature must serve community needs, however, in the
course of a community’s development those needs can, and often do, change.
Furthermore, the demands of such facilities at any given time are often varied
and intermittent. Therefore, public facility projects seek to maximize a facility’s
functional flexibility throughout the expected life of the facility within
the context of the community, itself, and other existing and envisioned facilities,
or the lack thereof.
BGCE works with communities to understand the variety and detail of their needs
and goals for a facility, in order to develop solutions that make sense today,
next year, and for the next ten years, whether the facility is a venue for
theatrical performances, offices for governmental agencies, a meeting hall
for public forums, or all of the above at once.
