BGCE Engineer Earns Certification from InfoComm International
5/1/06 — Vail, Colorado - Eric L. Rubottom, CTS, LEED AP of Beaudin Ganze Consulting Engineers, Inc. has earned his Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification from InfoComm International. The CTS credential, part of a program that began in 1981, is for audiovisual professionals who have demonstrated knowledge and comprehension of the science and technology used in audio, video and display systems. "As audiovisual equipment has become more sophisticated, so too has the need for professional services to assure the highest performance levels of communications technologies," said Randal A. Lemke, Ph.D., Executive Director, InfoComm International. CTS professionals are able to apply their skills and knowledge to design and install display and sound systems into boardrooms, classrooms and other public venues so audiences can easily see and hear the information presented.
Eric Rubottom's educational background and field experience in electrical engineering lets people know they're getting double the expertise. He is currently at work on a number of high-end resort and hotel projects throughout the United States, including the $120 Million, 400,000 square foot Crested Butte South Village project. The 20,000 square foot conference center of this project includes a main ballroom divisible into four sections, an adjacent board room for smaller meetings and overflow from the main ballroom, and a central prefunction area and exterior veranda. Eric's responsibilities include determining with the Owner and IT Manager the desired capability of presentation systems in the conference center, as well as, the design of video teleconferencing and visual presentation systems, speech/sound reinforcement, video schedule displays, background music distribution, and control system integration.
