Beaudin Ganze Selected for New CSU Computer Science Building
3/27/07 - Fort Collins, Colorado - Beaudin Ganze Consulting Engineers, Inc. (BGCE) has been selected to provide mechanical/electrical/fire/life-safety engineering and lighting design for a new, 42,000 square foot, four-story Computer Science Building on Colorado State University's main campus being designed by Anderson Mason Dale Architects. The heart of the building is two critical machine rooms - each room designed with redundant mechanical systems and UPS power, to provide reliable service to the entire Computer Science department, and its various research networks accessible around the globe. This building will also be the first on campus to utilize an underfloor air distribution system for heating and cooling the building. BGCE is excited to offer design expertise on this new system for CSU that will provide energy savings, increased comfort and improved indoor air quality.
BGCE has been providing mechanical, electrical, technology, lighting, and sustainable design services since its inception in 1991. BGCE opened its Fort Collins office in 2005, and now has eight full-time local employees. The firm's commissioning division, Commissioning Agents USA, was launched in 2003. BGCE and CxA-USA have consulted on dozens of projects seeking LEED® certification and have incorporated sustainable design elements into hundreds of projects.
