Don Anderson joins BGCE's Commissioning Staff
June 2008, Truckee, California— Don Anderson has joined the staff of Beaudin Ganze Consulting Engineers, Inc. (BGCE) in their Lake Tahoe office. Anderson brings over 25 years of experience in designing and commissioning building systems for schools, healthcare and laboratory facilities, commercial office spaces and private residences.
Anderson joins BGCE as a commissioning specialist, complementing the growing desire of the construction industry to build more energy-efficient and environmentally-friendly buildings. BGCE is delighted to have Anderson on staff to further strengthen BGCE's sustainable work in the area.
BGCE provides mechanical, electrical, lighting and technology design, as well as energy, commissioning and LEED services from offices located in Lake Tahoe, California, Vail, Denver and Fort Collins, Colorado. Sustainable design for increased energy efficiency and reduced operating/maintenance costs is fundamental to the firm's practice. Since inception in 1991, BGCE has grown to over 75 staff members, including 22 licensed Professional Engineers and 44 LEED® Accredited Professionals.
The firm was the mechanical and electrical engineer for the Aspen Sundeck Restaurant, one of the first structures to be certified in the late 1990's by the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Program. The firm continues to design LEED buildings ranging from small maintenance facilities to five star hotels, such as the Ritz Carlton at Northstar Highlands, California.
